Su Doku
On leafing through TIME Magazine May 23, 2005 I found a small article on a seemingly new craze called Su Doku or Sudoku.

Su Doku is a wordless number puzzle in which the numbers 1 to 9 must occur only once in every row, column and box within a grid. Wyne Gould, a retired Hongkong judge, though not the inventor of this form of “number place”, seems to be the main force behind the new popularity of this thing, which some have already called “the 21st century´s Rubik´s Cube”. Gould is busy developing more and more Sudokus and publishing books about them, e.g. ” The Times Su Doku: The utterly addictive number-placing puzzle” (so far three volumes). Of course I just ordered a copy (you know me by now, don´t you?)
Via Arky´s blog: Daily Su Doku with online puzzles and further links.
Via Matt Rutherford´s blog and Black Dove I found the Sudoku program by David Easton, Tcl/TK, aiming at both creation and solving of Su Doku puzzles.
Via Anamika I found another nice comment by Anand on his blog Locana
This is very you can find another daily Su Doku. (via Not for Sale. Please Come Again.
And here is the Wikipedia entry on Sudoku
